Padres notes: Margot ascending, probably in order, too; Munoz ready, firing

Andy Green will discuss changes to the lineup with his staff.

But even before Manuel Margot got the final hit in a 3-for-3 Thursday that also included a walk, the Padres manager was contemplating moving his surging center fielder up in the order.

“I was thinking about that halfway through the game today,” Green said after the Padres’ 4-3 loss to the Marlins. “… Very pleased with the quality of his at-bats.”

Margot’s day, which included a double and a triple, gave him a .415 on-base percentage over his past 94 plate appearances, raising his season number 58 points to .
