Fans might be able to attend Padres games at Petco Park — road games.
Those contests would be broadcast on the big screen at Gallagher Square (formerly Park at the Park).
“We’re exploring different ways for fans to still engage while not in the ballpark for home and away games,” said Erik Greupner, Padres president of business operations.
Provided health officials deem it safe, some fans could be allowed to assemble on the grass at Gallagher Square in pre-assigned circles — similar to what has been allowed at places such as Dolores Park in San Francisco and Domino Park in New York — to watch games when the Padres are on the road.
