Earlier this week students at Northmont Elementary School were in for quite a treat. Susy Navarro’s fifth grade class were winners of the San Diego County Office of Education’s “Read Like a Pro” contest for reading over 32,000 pages from books they read independently from the classroom. Their reward? Cory Spangenberg paying them a visit to read them “H is for Home Run” by Brad Herzog.
Spangenberg, along with the Friar mascot and the “Pad Squad” were a huge hit with the students.
