After another tremendous start from Nick Margevicius, who gave up 1 ER in 5 innings, the San Diego Padres didn’t need a ton of offense to pick up the win and move to 5-3 overall.
That being said, it’s always fun to hit dingers and the St. Louis Cardinals were handing them out today!
Margevicius was actually matched by John Flaherty, who shut down the Padres for all 5 of his innings pitched, but the Padres jumped all over Dominic Leone when he entered the game.
Leone started the inning with a walk to Franchy Cordero, and he was still on base when Renfroe hit his blast into the left field seats.
