Padres left-hander Cory Luebke underwent surgery Friday to free up a nerve around scar tissue in his forearm, a minor procedure that will keep the 30-year-old pitcher from throwing for the next three to four weeks.
On the mend from a second Tommy John surgery performed in February 2014, Luebke’s rehab had progressed from high Single-A Lake Elsinore to Double-A San Antonio to Triple-A El Paso when soreness cropped up in his left elbow.
