‘Again? The freaking Rockies?’ That was the reaction of some fans today.
The Padres dropped the series finale to drop another series to the worst team in the National League. Of course it stinks because on paper the Padres should be winning more games than not against them.
But let’s zoom out. With this loss the Padres are 70-55, still 15 games over .500 and in the first National League Wild Card spot. Today was their first series loss since July 14 vs. the Braves.
