Padres lose rubber match to Mets, limp home to face red hot Giants

The Padres lost the series finale 4-0 against the Mets Thursday afternoon. The offense was absolutely terrible, while the bullpen once again showed well. It was an encouraging part of an otherwise ominous day.

Wilson Ramos got the scoring started with a sac fly in the first. Todd Frazier’s 2 out double made it 3-0. Michael Conforto added an RBI single to give the Mets a 4-0 lead.

It turns out that’s the only scoring that would happen all day.

Eric Lauer lasted just 2 13 giving up 4 ER and 3 walks.
