Tonight’s review of the Padres’ intrasquad game is mostly a recap of the starting pitchers’ outings.
Roommates Chris Paddack and MacKenzie Gore started for the respective sides, with Paddack going the equivalent of four innings and Gore three.
First, the usual disclaimer: Don’t read too much into this recounting. First, these aren’t even spring training games, they are intrasquad games. Second, the reporting is being done from the Park at the Park. I can’t see the outfielders or even the left-field line beyond third base, and I’m looking through binoculars most of the time.
In these reports, I will mix in a little bit of what I hear from inside the organization with what I see.
