Padres get an assist from the Angels in their 3-1 win

The Angels made four errors to help the Padres to a 3-1 victory Wednesday afternoon at Camelback Ranch. #25 prospect Ryan Bergert threw two scoreless innings, allowing no hits or walks and striking out two batters. Bergert was added to the 40-man roster in the off-season to protect him from the Rule 5 draft, so technically could be a candidate for the fifth roster spot, but there are more likely candidates. Padres pitching overall only allowed the Angels two hits and getting ten strikeouts combined.

The Padres scored their three runs on eight hits with assistance from the Angels’ errors.
