SAN DIEGO -- After slow starts while rebounding from their respective injuries, Wil Myers and Joey Lucchesi showed less rust and more signs of old form en route to a 4-3 win over the Pirates at Petco Park on Saturday night.
Lucchesi delivered five innings of one-hit ball, and Myers powered the Padres' offense, driving in three of their four runs en route to San Diego's first win at home since June 6.
Myers was batting just .214 (6-28) since his return from the disabled list on June 21, but an 0-1 fastball from Pirates starter and San Diego native Trevor Williams sparked a change.
