After falling back 2-0 in the second, the Padres went on to score five-straight runs, including Jake Cronenworth’s first home run of the season, to come back and steal a win from the Dodgers 5-2 on Sunday afternoon in Petco Park.
The Dodgers obviously won the three-game series by taking the first two contests, but it likely did wonders for the Friar Faithful’s confidence going forward to be able to take at least one of the game’s at home against Los Angeles.
Eric Hosmer provided a pivotal performance, driving in a pair of RBIs with the first knotting things up at 2-2 in the seventh while his second run driven in gave the Padres a 302 lead just one inning later.
