Hello, everyone, and happy hump day.
As we all know, it’s a sad time for the San Diego sports community as Jack Murphy Stadium is slowly being deconstructed, piece by piece, as we speak.
The stadium wasn’t just a home for legends strewn across various San Diego professional sports franchises, it was also home to some of the greatest players to ever play their respective sports. It was the place where the great Tony Gwynn rose to the pantheon of Major League Baseball. It was also the birthplace of the “Air Coryell” offense with Dan Fouts and the quarterback hunting grounds for Hall-of-Fame linebacker and the late Junior Seau.
