The Padres released their 28-man roster for their NLDS matchup with the Dodgers, and Dinelson Lamet’s injury keeps him sidelined.
Not long after the news broke that Mike Clevinger would reportedly be starting Game 1 of the NLDS this evening, the Padres released their 28-man roster for the series. Surprisingly, Dinelson Lamet has been omitted for the second consecutive series, which is confusing because his injury was perceived as being less serious than Clevinger’s.
The Padres opted not to get an MRI on Lamet’s elbow/bicep, and many believe that if the team made it beyond the Wild Card round, he’d return.
