In their first of a four games at Dodger Stadium this week, the Padres (10-7) were able to steal a victory from the home team in a 2-1 contest that went scoreless through the final three innings.
The Dodgers (11-6) got on the board in the first inning thanks to a Cory Bellinger single with Joc Pederson (walk) and Mookie Betts (single) on base. Bellinger’s hit came with zero outs which means the Padres needed to pull a rabbit of a hat to end this inning without additional damage.
