Amid calls for his firing as the Padres' president and CEO, Mike Dee on Monday received a strong vote of confidence from managing partner Peter Seidler.
Seidler, who owns the largest ownership stake in the Padres, responded to multiple blogs urging the club, in the midst of another sub-.500 season, to remove Dee as the organization's highest-ranking executive by stating that he expects Dee to continue in his position for "a long, long time."
"We hired Mike a little less than three years ago," Seidler told the Union-Tribune. "He's made a significant, very measurable, positive impact on the business of the Padres.
