Padres caravan to cover San Diego, Tijuana

The Padres announced this year’s community caravan will take place Feb. 11-13, with stops in San Diego County and Tijuana. Players, coaches, alumni, executives and broadcasters will travel around the region before heading to Arizona for spring training. Expected participants include manager Andy Green and players James Shields, Tyson Ross, Andrew Cashner and Cory Spangenberg.

The caravan begins Feb. 11, the same day 2016 single-game tickets go on sale to the general public (10 a.m. at padres.com). Stops over the course of the three-day event are listed below. More details can be found at padres.com/caravan.

Also announced Tuesday were the dates for Padres FanFest: This year’s activities will take place at Petco Park on April 1-2, in conjunction with two exhibition games against the Chicago White Sox.
