Hoping to further fortify bullpen options, the Padres and right-hander Kyle Barraclough have agreed to a minor league deal that includes an invitation to big league camp, a source confirmed for the Union-Tribune.
MLB.com’s Jon Morosi first reported the addition.
The 29-year-old reliever debuted in 2015 with Miami, where he posted a 3.21 ERA over parts of four seasons. He saved as many as 10 games in 2018 and struck out as many as 113 in 72 2/3 innings (2.85 ERA) in 2016.
Barraclough was traded to the Nationals before 2019.
The Giants claimed Barraclough off waivers in August after he posted a 6.
