Batter’s box: Brian Dozier, battling to make the roster as a second baseman, hit two singles. In his first at-bat this spring against a left-handed pitcher, Dozier grounded an RBI single up the middle off Dallas Keuchel in the first inning. Dozier, whose on-base percentage is 39 points higher against lefties in his career, struck out against Keuchel in the third inning and singled against righty Alex Colome in the sixth. Dozier is 3-for-9 this spring (2-for-7 against right-handers). … Abraham Almonte was 2-for-3 with a double and a walk.
