Tuesday, February 24, in Peoria saw Fernando Tatis Jr. still missing from major league practice and the afternoon game. He did not participate in the team batting practice or fielding groups. The flu bug keeping him down was also a problem for catcher Luis Campusano, but he participated in practice for the second day in a row though he has still not appeared in a game.
Kyle Hart, the left-hander in contention for the fifth starter position, pitched a two-inning simulated game with Campusano catching. The hitters were minor leaguers brought over from mini-camp. There was also a bullpen today for starter Michael King.
