Padres backups fall to Cubs 1-0

The Padres faced the Cubs in their second spring outing on Monday afternoon without a number of their notable players, including Fernando Tatis Jr., Manny Machado, and Trent Grisham. Overall, the game was a rather quiet outing as the Padres dropped this one by a lone run by a 1-0 score at Peoria Stadium.

There were a couple of lone bright spots in this one, however. First, Chris Paddack started on the mound and recorded three strikeouts with one walk in two innings of work. He was followed up by 28-year old Daniel Camarena who K’d one and walked one in his two innings pitched.
