There were plenty of Padres fans that wanted to see A.J. Preller bring back 2023 Cy Young award winner Blake Snell when it was clear he wasn’t getting a long-term deal but how are they feeling now?
I don’t want to make it seem like I wouldn’t take Snell in San Diego’s rotation but things are off to a great start for his replacement, Dylan Cease, and a not so great start for Snell in San Francisco with Bob Melvin.
Cease didn’t have a typical Dylan Cease season in 2023, posting a 4.58 ERA with a below league average ERA+.
