In the past three days, the Padres have added a pair of closers in former Pirates Keone Kela and Mark Melancon. Melancon was signed this past Saturday and the deal with Kela was finalized this morning, according to both MLB Network’s Jon Heyman and The Athletic’s Dennis Lin.
Keone Kela and the Padres are in agreement on a major-league deal, pending a physical, sources tell @Ken_Rosenthal and me. Kela joins Mark Melancon as the second former Pirates closer added in the last few days. @JonHeyman had it.

The 35-year old Melancon comes to the Padres after spending the last two seasons with the Braves.
