Adam Rosales isn’t bouncing off the dugout walls waiting to get into a game for the Padres, but the reserve infielder isn’t sitting around getting splinters, either.
“I like to move every inning, do something to stay loose a little bit,” said Rosales, who bided his time on the bench during the first two games of the season-opening series against the Dodgers.
Such is the life of a bench player.
“I know my role,” Rosales said. “Obviously, (starting) is always in the back of my head. But I’m happy to help the team in this role.
