The Padres scored early and often tonight, as the offense pounded the Diamondbacks throughout the evening. Austin Hedges launched a bomb, Wil Myers and Carlos Asuaje legged out triples, and Cory Spangenberg rounded out the extra base action with a double. They handed Eric Lauer his fourth win, as the rookie pitcher held his own by allowing just one run over five innings.
Asuaje hit the snakes early with his triple to center. He was just the second batter of the game, and the third batter of the game brought him home.
