Padres 4, Rockies 0: Jordan Lyles thoroughly dominates his former club

History was flirted with yet again today as the San Diego Padres completely shut down the Colorado Rockies.

The Rockies’ offense was completely shut down for nearly 8 full innings. Jordan Lyles was on absolute fire today, and pitched a game of his life against a team that cut him not long ago. Lyles went 7 entire innings throwing perfect, no-hit baseball. It wasn’t until the second out of the 8th inning that he would finally allow a hit, a fair line-drive single from Trevor Story.

Before that Lyles was totally dealing, striking out 10 Rockies with only 70~ pitches.
