With today's 3-2 victory over the Marlins, the Padres have wrapped up their homestand with a nice little winning streak. It remains to be seen how many players responsible for that streak will return to Petco Park after this road trip, but at least they're leaving on a high note.
The Friars got on the board first, when Man Most Likely To Be Traded Justin Upton hit a leadoff homer in the second inning. Yonder Alonso and Jedd Gyorko followed up with a pair of singles to put runners at the corners, and Alonso scored on Alexi Amarista's sacrifice fly.
