The Giants are in town for a couple of games before the Padres hit the road again. They dropped their first game, though, and it took ‘em about 4 hours to do it.
Eric Lauer had one of his okay-est games of the season, putting in 5 innings but giving up a 3-run home run in the second inning to Chase d’Arnaud, keeping the Giants in the lead until after he would exit the game and the Padres would put 3 more on the board.
Jose Castillo, Craig Stammen, and Kirby Yates all threw scoreless innings keeping the Pads in the game at 3-3 until the 9th.
