The Padres broke their losing streak by winning a pitcher's duel in walk-off fashion. Colin Rea kept the team in the game with his best start yet, throwing seven shutout innings while allowing just two hits and three walks. Wil Myers put them on the board with his first home run since his return from the disabled list, and Cory Spangenberg, Clint Barmes, and Brett Wallace worked together to wrap things up in the bottom of the ninth.
The Rockies pulled starter Jon Gray after five innings, and they probably regretted it. Wil Myers took a curveball from reliever Gonzalez Germen and hammered it over the left-center field fence.
