The first week of the 2025 MLB season has been record-breaking for the San Diego Padres. Not only have they set a record with seven straight victories to begin their year but they had three shutouts in the first six games; something they had also never done before.

Newcomer Nick Pivetta threw seven shutout innings in his Padres debut; allowing one hit, no walks and four strikeouts but by far the best performance of the first week came from the bullpen. Over seven games, the bullpen allowed two runs on nine hits with three of those hits and one run from Adrian Morejon yesterday.
