PEORIA, Ariz. -- Padres first baseman Wil Myers left Thursday's Cactus League game against the Royals with neck tightness after running from first to third in the fourth inning.
Myers had reached base on a fielding error and had slowed up his run as he got to the first-base bag, but stayed in the game. But after he went to third on a Hunter Renfroe double, manager Andy Green went out to third base and then escorted Myers back to the dugout.
Myers walked back to the team's complex with a member of their training staff.
