CHICAGO -- Padres left fielder Wil Myers was removed in the sixth inning of Thursday night's game against the Cubs with a left foot contusion.
Myers fouled a ball off his foot during his final at-bat, which resulted in a 6-4-3 double play to end the top of the fifth inning. He remained in the game on defense in the bottom of the fifth, but he was removed after Austin Hedges' three-run homer in the sixth gave the Padres a 3-1 lead in the series opener at Wrigley Field.
Travis Jankowski replaced Myers in left field.
