NEW YORK -- Right-hander Brandon Morrow won't make his scheduled rehab start Thursday night due to shoulder soreness that has once again flared up and signifies a second setback.
Scheduled to throw 60 pitches for Triple-A El Paso, Morrow will instead fly back to San Diego to consult a team doctor after experiencing discomfort during a bullpen session earlier this week.
Morrow has missed almost three months after landing on the disabled list May 3 with shoulder soreness. He signed a one-year deal in the offseason, and he is 2-0 with a 2.73 ERA in five starts this year.
