Major League Baseball is investigating the controversy surrounding the San Diego Gay Men's Chorus' appearance at a San Diego Padres game on Saturday.
The executive director of the chorus, Bob Lehman, had called for an investigation by the league and the Padres after a woman's voice singing the "Star Spangled Banner" was played over the public address system while members of the chorus were on the field to sing the national anthem at Petco Park.
"We are pleased that Major League Baseball is going to look into this issue and we will cooperate fully," Padres president Mike Dee said Monday, according to USA Today.
