Baseball’s All-Star Game is returning to San Diego for the first time in 24 years, and with it a number of events for fans of all ages. Here are six leading up to the game itself, which will be played Tuesday, July 12:
MLB All-Star FanFest, San Diego Convention Center, July 8-12
FanFest is an interactive baseball theme park where attendees can meet current and former major leaguers, get autographs, buy souvenirs and listen to local broadcasts. More than 40 attractions will allow fans to participate in baseball training drills, step to the plate in a mini-home run derby, and view memorabilia and artifacts from Padres history, as well as a collection of Major League Baseball awards and trophies.
