Reggie Lawson is on a roll now.
The Padres’ 21-year-old pitching prospect won a third straight decision Thursday night, limiting the opposition to a single hit over 6 1/3 scoreless innings in Double-A Amarillo’s 1-0 win over visiting Springfield.
Lawson (3-1, 4.76) struck out five and walked three before his bullpen secured the win. Since allowing five runs in 1 1/3 on April 14, Lawson has allowed three earned runs over his last 16 1/3 innings.
A competitive balance pick in 2016, Lawson was 8-5 with a 4.69 ERA, 117 strikeouts and a 1.
