Left-hander Will Headean struck out four over five scoreless innings in short-season Tri-City’s 10-1 win over Vancouver on Wednesday in the Northwest League.
Headean limited the opposition to one hit and two walks in improving to 2-0. He lowered his ERA 1.20.
Right-hander Mark Zimmerman allowed a run in two innings and right-handers Will Stillman and Evan Miller combined for five strikeouts over two perfect innings.
Designated hitter Westhers Magdaleno (.292) went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs, right fielder Luis Asuncion (.310) collected three hits and second baseman Nate Easley (.293) went 1-for-2 with three walks, three runs scored and his second steal.
