At least Taylor Trammell has nowhere to go but up.
The Padres’ newest prospect went 0-for-4 and committed an error in center field in his organizational debut at Double-A Amarillo, which rode right-hander Kyle Lloyd to a 7-4 win over visiting Frisco on Thursday.
The 28-year-old Lloyd (6-5, 3.50) struck out a season-high nine batters and allowed four runs on six hits and a walk over seven innings.
Right-hander Kazuhisa Makita (3.68) saved his second game with a scoreless ninth.
Trammell, acquired Tuesday from the Reds in the deal that sent Franmil Reyes and Logan Allen to the Indians grounded out twice, flied out to left and struck out as Amarillo’s leadoff hitter.
