One home run was not enough for Triple-A El Paso on Friday. The Chihuahuas simply gave up too many of their own.
Michael Gettys pushed his organization lead to 30 homers but El Paso gave up six long balls in a 12-5 loss at Salt Lake on Friday, snapping a six-game winning streak.
Gettys (.821 OPS) drove in three runs on two hits and Aderlin Rodriguez (.972 OPS) went 3-for-4 with two doubles, an RBI and two runs scored. The 30 homers are not only a career-high, they tie Hunter Renfroe’s franchise record from 2016.
