Nick Margevicius got back in the win column in the Texas League.
The 23-year-old left-hander turned in a third quality start in four trips to the mound since his demotion from San Diego, striking out five over six solid innings in Double-A Amarillo’s 5-2 win at Frisco.
Margevicius (2-1) allowed one run on four hits and two walks, lowering his ERA to 2.88 in 25 innings with Amarillo (10-11, 44-45).
Margevicius has struck out 16 against six walks but has allowed six homers in his five minor league starts since starting the season in the Padres’ rotation.
