Luis Urias’ case to return to San Diego is getting stronger by the day.
The Padres second base prospect homered for the fourth time in four days, helping Triple-A El Paso to a 5-3 win at Sacramento on Monday.
Urias is up to a career-high 11 homers in 23 games with the Chihuahuas, where he is hitting .354/.436/.833 with 12 walks against 22 strikeouts.
Monday’s third-inning blast helped right-hander Cal Quantrill (4-1, 4.80) earn the victory in his return to El Paso (26-12).
Quantrill struck out five and allowed three runs on eight hit and a walk in five innings.
