Dinelson Lamet took his best step yet. Jose Castillo is still looking for his footing.
The 26-year-old Lamet threw four scoreless innings in his third rehab assignment before Castillo allowed both runs to score in the fifth inning of a 2- 0 loss to visiting Lancaster on Monday.
Lamet struck out five and scattered three hits and a walk. He threw 36 of his 56 pitches for strikes in what could be his last rehab start with the Storm before pushing his work to Triple-A El Paso.
In three starts, Lame – on the comeback from Tommy John – struck out 14, walked five and allowed eight runs in nine innings.
