Lake Bachar bounced back Thursday night.
On the heels of the worst start of his career, the 24-year-old right-hander struck out five in a quality start, leading Double-A Amarillo to a 9-3, rain-shortened, seven-inning win over host Tulsa.
Bachar allowed three homers – but three solo shots. He finished with six hits and a walk scattered over 6 2/3 innings.
Bachar allowed nine earned runs in 3 2/3 innings in his previous start, a hiccup in what’s been a stellar second half to the year.
Bachar is 8-4 with a 3.
