Second baseman Esteban Quiroz collected five hits and drove in three runs, including what proved the game-winning single in a three-run, eighth as Triple-A El Paso hung on for a 12-11 win over visiting Sacramento.
Acquired from the Red Sox this offseason for reliever Colten Brewer, the 27-year-old Quiroz doubled once and singled four times to lift his OPS to .926. The five-hit game was the first by a Chihuahuas player since Allen Craig on July 25, 2018.
