Left-hander Dillon Overton matched a rehabbing Johnny Cueto with six shutout innings, helping the Chihuahuas pick up ground in its playoff hunt with a 3-0 win at Sacramento on Saturday night.
The win, combined with first-place Las Vegas’ loss, put El Paso (80-58) one game back with two left in the regular season. El Paso would win a tiebreaker in the event of a first-place tie in the division based on the Pacific Coast League’s rules.
