The Padres have a few years to decide precisely where CJ Abrams plays on the field.
The bat, however, most definitely plays.
The 18-year-old shortstop on Friday collected three more hits in the rookie-level Arizona League, extending his hitting streak to 19 games to start his professional career.
Abrams has at least two hits in 13 of those games and has piled up 15 extra-base hits – two homers, four triples and nine doubles – en route to fashioning a .443/.468/.705 batting line. He is also 11-for-13 in stolen base attempts to start his career.
