SAN DIEGO -- Francisco Mejia's only been a Padre for two weeks.
He wasted little time putting himself in rarefied territory with the club.
Mejia launched a two-out walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the ninth inning for a 7-3 victory over the Rangers at Petco Park on Sunday afternoon.
The Padres trailed 3-2 entering the ninth, before Freddy Galvis tied things up with an RBI double into the left-center-field gap. A.J. Ellis and Cory Spangenberg worked a pair of walks, setting the stage for Mejia.
