The San Diego Padres have traded Matt Wisler to the Seattle Mariners in exchange for cash.
This is the third time Wisler has been traded in as many years, fourth time in his career. The Padres have now dealt him twice. After drafting him in 2011, they dealt him to the Braves as a part of the package to acquire Craig Kimbrel and Melvin Upton Jr.
Wisler has bounced around since then, appearing in 106 games since debuting in 2015. He’s been both a starter and reliever during his career, but struggled a lot.
