Another week, another Padre landing on the disabled list. This time it's right-hander Dale Thayer, who is out with a shoulder strain after throwing two scoreless innings in a game last week against the Athletics. With right-hander Nick Vincent optioned to Triple-A El Paso, the Padres have called upon right-handers Marcos Mateo and Kevin Quackenbush to help pick up innings in Thayer's absence.
