Drew Pomeranz, ace of the Padres rotation, did not have a good day. He gave up five runs to the Miami Marlins in the first inning of tonight's game. In his defense, Miami manager Don “Donny Baseball” Mattingly came out on the field after the third batter and threw a giant temper tantrum, icing Pom for nearly ten minutes with two runners on base and one out. And to cap off all that whining, the ex-Dodger manager played the game under protest, because he has no idea what he’s doing. Still, the lack of an effective Padres offense left the protest irrelevant, and the Marlins will return home to their horrible owner and tacky sculpture with a series win.
