On Friday afternoon, the Padres announced that RHP’s Reggie Lawson and Andres Munoz each had successful ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction surgery, otherwise known as Tommy John surgery.
Both surgeries will successful but you can obviously forget seeing either player this season as the regular timetable from this surgery can range from 12-18 months.

Lawson, 22, was one of the Padres top prospects while Munoz was set to be a key member of the team’s bullpen this season.
